This one is harder to pick to than the last post because of the definition of underrated. Many of my favorite movies did not meet with commercial success, but were adored by critics. I'm going to go with 'The Cutting Edge'. I think that it might challenge Rocky IV for the highest mpm (montages per movie) ratio ever. Ultimately a more satisfying figure skating movie than 'Blades of Glory'.
I'm going to go with Wet Hot American Summer.. which is an example of what Fred was saying about movies adored by critics with not very much commercial success.

trainspotting... i dont know when it really came out but i liked it right after i saw it and i'd never really heard of it before
